ASSOCIATION — The belleville championne ligue has been promoting girls’ football in belleville for the past 3 years with the aim to encourage them to play on public grounds that are mainly occupied by boys. With a neighbourhood social center, BCL collaborates to offers saturday get-togethers for girls on public ground to work on gender diversity in the 20th district of Paris.
ECO-PRODUCTION → This jersey is made out of deadstock fabrics. which means the material is either a leftover or has been rejected in their previous existence. it has been produced by a family run business, in the North of Portugal. The random placement of the pattern means that printed fabric is used almost entirelyand therefore produces no waste → All those tees look all different and they are a limited edition, numbered. The most sustainable products are the ones already exist → not only our tees are made from deadstock fabrics, but also the packaging is made out of the waste from the cutting machine. We collected some patterns, specially the big parts, folded and stitched them, without any other intervention - BAPTISTA E SOARES
DESIGN THINKING → habits and cultural reflexes are hardening inequalities Whether in design or elsewhere, the failure to question these reflexes leads, consciously or unconsciously, to the repetition of exclusionary mechanisms. At the heart of the project, the belleville league champion jersey brings together innovative players to carry the message and ensure its eco-design. A medium for discussion and commitment, it promotes the importance of women’s representation in soccer (in 2023, during the Women’s World Cup). Designers have rethought the unisex jersey to adapt it to women’s morphologies (a study was carried out with a committed LGBTQIA+ women’s team) and meet the challenges of virtuous and inclusive manufacturing. ARTIST → Antwan Horfee works with a large panel of materials
to create abstract and slightly distorted representations. Inspired by avant-garde art movements, he skilfully combines figurative and abstract elements in his paintings. The surreal characters or objects found in his works, often dominated by abstract gestures, are signs of an age of diversity, noise, abundance, and uncertainty. His intense dynamics and palettes are symptomatic of a time when the flow of the digital image is extensive and fast. OEUVRE SÉLECTIONNÉE
FRUIT LOOP 2024 -In 2023, the artist Antwan Horfee, committed to equality issues, collaborated on the creation of a limited edition of 200 soccer shirts. Taken from the Hair is rare exhibition produced in Paris and unveiled in Düsseldorf in 2024, the shirts are printed from a reproduction of the Fruit Loop canvas.
BRAND → HODEI makes recycled, customizable shoes made from EVA foam that are inspired by the sustainable water cycle model. Once worn out HODEI shoes are returned (for free) to the mix to make a new pair. The use of only EVA foam allows to adapt themanufacturing process of the shoe to a circular economy model. HODEI offers a new way of tackling production where the producer, product, and customer are part of a circular model. No disposal, only up-cycling.
